The Points You May Need To Know About Injection Molding
Leave a message
The main point is : What is Injection Molding?
Injection Molding is a steel tooling for manufacturing plastic/rubber parts in small or midium or large volumes. The most typically used in mass-production processes where the same plastic or rubber parts is being created thousands or even more than millions of shots in succession.
After your product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or an engineer, moulds are made by a mould-maker (or toolmaker, such as Deep Mould Co.,LTD ) from different kinds of steel or aluminium,(this is based on the volume that you need design for your products) and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection molding is widely used for manufacturing a variety of parts, from the smallest components to entire body panels of cars.

Applications
Today injection molding is used to create many products in different industries. Such as packaging boxes, automotive parts and components, toys, electronic housings or covers, some medical parts with small tolerance, the sharp of different chairs or small tables, storage containers, mechanical parts with plastic and different function, and so on. Injection molding is the most common way for manufacturing plastic or rubber parts; it is the best way for producing high volumes of the same products.

What Is The Downside To Injection Molding:
Up front costs tend to be very high due to design, testing, and tooling requirements. If you are going to produce parts in high volumes you want to make sure you get the design right the first time. That is more complicated than you might think. Getting the design right includes:
Designing and then prototyping the part itself to specification
Initial prototype development is typically completed on a 3D printer/CNC Plastic/Vacuum Casting methods, they can be used in different material (such as ABS/PC/PA/PP/POM plastic)
Designing an injection mold tool for an initial production round
Typically generating 300-1000 injection molded prototypes in the production material requires the development of an injection mold tool
Refining any and all details in the injection mold tool prior to mass-production in an injection mold manufacturing plant.
