Deep Mould is not only making the mold toolings,but also provide custom brass threaded inserts for plastic parts.
• For this type of insert, the thread needs to accept the specified fastener, while the outside profile must fit the designed plastic boss or assembly interface.
• Knurl geometry, slot width, end detail and burr control should be agreed on the drawing.
• The insert and surrounding plastic part should be evaluated together before production quantity is fixed.

The drawing and specifications with M4 x 0.7 thread, dimensions and tolerances are not verified specifications for the Deep Mould batch shown in this draft. All the sizes can be customized.

Please send a 2D drawing or 3D model with material grade, internal thread, outer diameter, length, knurl area, slot dimensions, tolerances and quantity.
If the insert will be used in a molded plastic boss, include the boss drawing and planned installation method so the interface can be reviewed as a system.
• Inspection
Inspection points are defined from the approved drawing.
Typical checks may include the internal thread, outside diameter, overall length, slot dimensions and visible burr condition.
Functional retention or pull-out testing in the final plastic assembly must be specified separately by the customer.
