Custom Injection Mold Components from Customer Drawings
DeepMould manufactures custom metal components for plastic injection molds based on customer drawings or 3D data.
We support one-off replacement parts, trial components, small batches, and complete component sets for new mold builds. Each part is reviewed according to its geometry, material, tolerances and fitting requirements rather than selected from a standard catalog.
Components We Manufacture
Typical work includes mold inserts, core and cavity components, slide blocks, guide rails, support plates, wear parts, locating blocks, round cores, sleeves and other drawing-specific tooling parts.
Each item is reviewed from the drawing rather than selected from a fixed catalogue. The component name, material, heat-treatment condition, critical dimensions and fitting relationships should be stated in the RFQ.
Machining Route Based on the Drawing
The manufacturing route is selected according to the component geometry and tolerance requirements.
Depending on the part, the process may include:
• Sawing and material preparation
• Drilling and conventional milling
• CNC milling or CNC turning
• Wire EDM for profiles, slots and through-features
• Grinding, fitting or finishing when specified
• Dimensional inspection against the drawing
• Not every component requires every process.
Before production, we review the datum structure, machining access, corner radii, hole depth, fitting surfaces and inspection requirements to determine a suitable machining route.
One-Off Parts and Small Quantities
A complete production batch is not required for every project.
One-piece orders can be considered for replacement inserts, mold modification parts, trial components and maintenance spares.
For repeat components, please provide the current drawing revision and previous inspection records when available. This helps distinguish the current component from earlier versions of the mold.
Information Required for Quotation
To review your project and prepare a quotation, please provide:
• 2D drawing and 3D model where available
• Part name and drawing revision
• Material grade
• Heat-treatment or hardness requirement
• Required quantity
• Critical dimensions and tolerances
• Surface finish, coating or polishing requirements
• Matching component or assembly information
• Required inspection report
If only a physical sample is available, please provide clear photos and explain how the component fits and functions.
We will review the available information and confirm whether it is sufficient for quotation.
Inspection Before Delivery
Inspection is based on the dimensions and datums defined in the approved drawing.
Critical holes, profiles, thicknesses and fitting locations can be checked according to the agreed inspection requirements.
When a dimensional inspection report is required, please identify the required inspection points and critical dimensions before production.
We do not apply one general tolerance statement to every mold component. The achievable result depends on factors such as part size, material, heat treatment, geometry, datum design and the selected machining process.

• Can you manufacture only one mold component?
Yes. One-piece orders are accepted for replacement parts, mold modifications, trials and maintenance spares. The quotation depends on the drawing, material and required processes.
• Can you quote from a 3D model only?
A 3D model can be used for an initial review. A 2D drawing is recommended when tolerances, datums, threads, hardness, finish or inspection requirements must be controlled.
• Can you provide an inspection report?
Inspection can be arranged according to the approved drawing. Mark the required report and critical dimensions in the RFQ so the scope is clear before production.
