What's a double injection mold?

A double injection mold, usually called as 2 material with 2 shots molds or 2K color molds, is a creative manufacturing process used to produce complex injection parts with 2 different raw materials,one is soft,such as TPE.TPV.TPU,the other one is hard,such as ABS.PC.PA+GF.It is an automated process to overmolding with materials fill into one mold. It is different than the traditional 2 molds to overmolding,it is one mold with hard material,the other mold with soft material.
