Description

Deep Mould can provide different shape of PEEK material part injection and mold toolings.
Below are some key points when you are ready for making the PEEK mold and PEEK part injection.
The injection molding characteristics of PEEK materials: high injection temperature, complex injection process, unstable product performance and other difficulties. There are high requirements for equipment, process control and operators.
1. Injection molding machine: It is recommended to use a modern reciprocating screw injection molding machine with closed-loop control capability and microprocessor control for injection molding of PEEK Tepla® T7200 engineering plastics.
2. Screw: The screw material has a temperature resistance of 400 degrees Celsius. It is necessary to use a low compression ratio screw without a backflow device. The recommended compression ratio is between 1:1 and 1.3:1. If you need help with specific screw design and identifying a suitable screw manufacturer, you can contact Tianxie Industrial Co., Ltd. or refer to it.
3. Material drying: The drying equipment must be able to reach a temperature of at least 120°C. The drying system should be able to maintain the recommended drying time in continuous operation, usually 6 hours under the above conditions.
4. Process control and monitoring: The molding process should be controlled by screw speed and position, not by pressure and time. This ensures that both injection rate and fill time are controlled. The following three parameters can be monitored to ensure that the process is in control when injection molding acceptable parts:
1. Injection time: This refers to the time required for the screw to move forward from the full injection position to the conversion position. It is an important parameter and should be monitored continuously.
2. Final residual position: This is the final position of the screw after the injection of the part is completed and the mold is completely filled. It is a volumetric indication of the amount of polymer injected into the mold and should be monitored continuously.
3. The pressure required to reach the injection speed: it indicates the relative viscosity of the polymer and should also be monitored.
5. Shutdown and cleaning: After the processing is interrupted or the injection molding operation is completed, use suitable cleaning materials with thermal properties exceeding 370 °C, and no plastic should be left in the barrel of the molding machine.
High-temperature special engineering plastics have been used in aerospace, military and other high-tech fields, and now they are more and more widely used. It is necessary to strictly follow the correct injection molding operation procedures to produce products, otherwise it is difficult to obtain products with good performance, and even damage the equipment.
